Mary and Shel…

Jay and El Shoes started in 1956 in Columbus, New Jersey by my father Jerry. In 1979, my wife Mary and I joined my father, working side by side to create an environment where customers can find quality shoes at a reasonable price. Customers came from near and far to take advantage of the great prices on quality shoes that we are able to offer. With a significant number of our customers traveling from Delaware, we decided to help with the commute and bring Jay and El Shoes to a more convenient location in Delaware. On September 4, 1987, Mary and I opened our present location here in the New Castle Farmers Market, 110 North Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE. and have been serving the good people of Delaware and surrounding states ever since.
